GRAND CANYON EXPERIENCES

A van tour is personalized and you see the most possible in one day.  Learn the history, geology, flora, and fauna of the Grand Canyon from a knowledgeable guide.  Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Canyon.   A champagne toast is offered before leaving for your return.  Pick up is at 10 AM and drop off is at dusk at A Terry Ranch.  Adults $70.

Grand Canyon backcountry guided tours offer half day and full day guided hikes into the Canyon. All equipment and food is furnished by the guide. Prices range from $50 to $110. Multiple day trips available at $200 per day.

The historic Grand Canyon Railway lets its passengers enjoy the nostalgia of train travel in the American West.  An Old West show starts the experience at 9 AM.  The train leaves Williams Depot (1 mile from A Terry Ranch) at 9:30 AM.  Entertainment is provided as well as the scenery of the Kaibab National Forest and high plains of Northern Arizona.  Guests get to the Canyon at 11:45 AM and are there for 3 ½ hours.  When you disembark from the train, bus tours are available or you can walk or hike around the South Rim.  On the return trip, a surprise awaits you.  Guests arrive back at the depot in Williams at 5:30 PM.  There are different classes of travel: Coach Class- Adults $67.79 [includes Park entrance fee & tax]; Club Class has alcoholic beverages available– $89.55; First Class features comfortable recliner chairs and snacks round trip, and available alcoholic beverages – $127.63; Deluxe Observation has benefits of First Class plus panoramic views from upper-level glass enclosed dome – $149.33; Luxury Parlor features a classic open-air rear platform and the same amenities as the previous two cars – $160.27. All prices are per adult. Ask about child rates.

Helicopter   Four companies offer a variety of air tours over the Grand Canyon.  Adults $94 [½ hour].  Cost is higher for longer flights.

Airplane   Four airlines offer a variety Grand Canyon air tours.  Adults $75 [½ hour]. Cost is higher for longer flights.

National Geographic Theater [IMAX]  "Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets".  Adults $7.

Raft the Colorado River and see the Grand Canyon from the inside out.  River trips are one day. Adults $150.14.  Multi-day trips can be arranged.

NORTHERN ARIZONA EXPERIENCES:

Combination Tours  Choose from two, one day trips.  Fly the Grand Canyon and cruise on Lake Powell to Rainbow Bridge [$220], OR Fly the Grand Canyon and take a jeep tour to Antelope Slot Canyon [$175].

Hike in the Kaibab National Forest from ponderosa pine thru firs and aspens and enjoy panoramic views of Northern Arizona..  We have maps for a variety of forest trails ranging in length from 1.8 miles to 25 miles (round trip).

Birding at Coleman Lake or Shultz Lake Bird Sanctuaries.

Horseback riding  in the pines ($11.00 - ½ hr) Companies take beginners or experienced riders on quality horses.

Fishing  Kaibab, Cataract, Dogtown, Whitehorse, Santa Fe, and City are all stocked fishing lakes.

Golf ($25.00+) at Elephant Rocks Golf Course

Oak Creek Canyon / Sedona  Jeep tours enable you to experience the beauty, serenity, and awe of the area's red rock country.  There are also a wide variety of scenic hiking trails in the area.

WINTER EXPERIENCES:

Snow play  Visit Oak Hill or the Snow Bowl and tube, toboggan, or sled.

Ski Bill Williams (8150 feet lift elevation. *$10.00 +) This ski area caters to the beginner, the novice, and the experienced skier.  It has cross-country and three downhill runs and features a Poma lift or rope lift; OR Snow Bowl   (11.500 feet lift elevation. *$19.00+)   You can ascend on ski lifts and descend on a wide variety of runs from Arizona's highest mountain.
